Dear Friends, Partners, Volunteers and Supporters,
We cannot thank enough all the individuals and well-wishers who made countless calls and sent countless emails to us regarding the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States. We are remaining strong and vigilant; as a nation of hard-working communities, we will survive this.
As you know, we do our very best through our GOOD TIDINGS program to help as many youth as we can, both domestically and internationally, and we also have Legacy Programs that we carry out with our flagship program still remaining our Educational Assistance program for at-risk and mentally ill youth in Metro and Greater Atlanta, Georgia United States.
Needless to say, this is affecting our ability to manage and implement this very valuable program, as we now have received notice that almost all school are closed in Metro & Greater Atlanta. Currently, we are going to focus solely on our Education Legacy Program in this city and as such, we are suspending all other activities. Among these, our work in Haiti will be mostly affected as we have also learned that COVID-19 has reached the impoverished island nation, and the prognosis is quite grim. Please keep those in Haiti, and in other places in the world where resources are not as plentiful as ours, in your most intimate prayers.
If there's anything we could ask our friends and supporters, it would first and foremost be to PLEASE BE SAFE. This means visiting our country's response to the virus at WWW.CORONAVIRUS.GOV, as well as checking your local news for updates in your area. Finally, for those who can, we humbly ask you to make a donation of ANY kind as we are now working to acquire all the materials and equipment to support the people we serve, here and abroad, as best we can.
Once again, we are so grateful for your prayers, your support, your donations. We could have not made our programs a reality without all of you. Our community will survive and in short order return to thriving, as it was before. We all have a GLOBAL responsibility to change the way we will and interact with each other, please visit WWW.CORONAVIRUS.GOV for more details.
With Compassion, With Commitment and With Character,
The World Youth Served Board of Directors
