WYS Board of Directors 

The Board of Directors began with Co-Founders Jesse R. Boyd and Claude-Raymond “Ray” Rene in December 2011. The By-Laws were drafted to require staggered terms on the Board, with a minimum of three (3) members and a maximum of nine (9) members. Effective October 2021, the Board of Directors was put includes three (3) individuals with Mr. Ray Rene serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Organization.

 The WYS Executive Committee

Between meetings of the Board of Directors, on-going oversight of the affairs of World Youth Served, Inc. may be conducted by an Executive Committee, the membership of which shall include the officers of the Board. The Executive Committee carries out day-to-day actions while coordinating efforts between the different committees.

The WYS Finance & Audit Committee

The Finance/Audit Committee is responsible for ensuring that World Youth Served, Inc.’s financial statements and procedures are evaluated to determine that adequate fiscal controls and procedures are in place and that World Youth Served, Inc. is in good financial health. The Treasurer of the Board shall always be a member of this committee with the goal of ensuring the integrity of its finances.

shaping haiti’s youth, inc. (formerly the WYS Haitian Affairs Committee)

The Haitian Affairs Committee manages all programs of sports education or community that relate to the country. The committee is currently involved with opening a college of arts and crafts around October 2015 and funding scholarships for Haitian students to attend. As well as creating soccer development programs for amputee victims of the past earthquake.

the WYS Learning Assistance Committee & the mathplus group

The Learning Assistance Committee involves working closely with the at-risk youth, helping them achieve academic success that was previously unattainable. This committee relies on mentoring children as well as tutoring them to give them a sense of stability in their lives. Atlanta MathPlus has been a key partner in helping students overcome their deficiencies while giving each student the skills and discipline they need to excel, even after the tutors are gone.
