World Youth Served has been working closely with three West Atlanta children that have undergone serious, traumatic incidences in their short lifetime. Since the children ranged in ages 2-4, they were sexually abused by their mother, maternal grandmother, and maternal great uncle for five years. The children were raped, sodomized, forced to perform sexual acts on their siblings, severely abused, and two of the children were prostituted.
Their mother, Crystal Johnson, 32; grandmother, Maryland Johnson, 46; and her brother, Thomas Johnson, 45, were charged in 34-count indictment. They were convicted in 2013 and are each serving 4-5 consecutive life sentences with many years added on top and no chance of being released.

Today, the children are living with their paternal grandmother. The youngest boy is currently serving time in juvenile detention for molestation due to his corrupted mindset from his horrendous upbringing. The two other children have been extremely psychologically impacted as well while still facing abuse in their school and environment.
WYS has been doing everything in our power to help these children escape their shattered past. Through donations and dedicated individuals, WYS has been able to mentor these now teens and give them a chance at a better life. Their grades in school have dramatically improved and immediate efforts are being made to ensure a fresh start for them and their families to come.
