Dear Ramon & Chelsea,

I am very excited to hear that you are interested in doing some Public Relations volunteer work for us in Puerto Rico. I am happy to cover some of the expenses on your trip, out-of-pocket; I will resolve the matter internally with the WYS Finance and Audit Committee at a later date.

We have received inquiries in the last year to help with the reconstruction efforts in Puerto Rico, and this trip will provide us with some opportunities to understand how we can help. What I recommend here is that you carry your visit very similar to a “blog”, where you take many pictures on your trip while these pictures tell a story we can convey to our supporters. In addition, you may blog and email those pictures directly from your smartphone to us (never.forget.pr@worldyouthserved.org) and we can add them to our website as they come in.

We have done these goodwill tours before: in 2016, we sent soccer kits for an entire youth soccer team in Jeremie, Haiti, and our work is chronicled on our website.  Prior to this we sent soccer balls to the youth living in the epicenter of the 2010 Haiti earthquake in Carrefour, and we issued both a press release and a photo album.

Again, I am very happy to get your support in helping World Youth Served address the needs of our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters.  If there is anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to let us know.
